For a moment and in some ways because the egyptian army declared on Monday that the people have a right to protest peacefully.
I remain skeptical because of the distance between democratic moments and the formation of a functioning democracy.

ReplyDeletePerhaps that is because we tend to weigh 'functioning' and 'democracy' differently according to circumstance and perspective.
